Do I pick a plan or pay as I go?+
Free, Starter, and Pro are monthly plans with an included allowance. During beta, each plan hard-caps at that allowance — upgrade or wait for the monthly reset if you run out. For one-off conferences, contact sales about the Event plan.
What is a live audio hour?+
One hour of active speech translation while the speaker microphone is live. We bill in one-second increments with a 15-minute minimum per session. Session setup time and pauses with the mic off are not counted — only mic-on time is metered.
How are target languages counted?+
Each output language configured on a session counts toward the total. The base audio-hour rate includes up to 2 languages (matching Azure Speech Translation). Each language beyond that adds the extra-language hourly rate.
What is an attendee-hour?+
One attendee connected to the live feed for one hour — e.g. 100 attendees for a 1-hour event equals 100 attendee-hours. This approximates real-time delivery infrastructure cost. Each session includes 100 attendee-hours free.
What is a spoken language hour?+
One hour of clear voice during listen mode. Included hours match each plan's live audio allowance (Free 1, Starter 10, Pro 30 per month). When the monthly allowance is used, listen mode falls back to device voice.
What is Smart script extract?+
Smart extract uses Azure OpenAI to pull recognition vocabulary from your sermon notes or outline — names and phrases speech recognition often mishears. Starter includes 20 per month, Pro 100, Event 10. Free and over-allowance use Basic extract (on-device, free). Files are still read on your device; only the text is sent when you run Smart extract.
When will I be billed?+
Starter and Pro renew through Stripe Checkout. During beta, plans hard-cap at the included allowance — there is no automated overage charge. Event plans are quoted by our sales team (hi@laba.live).
