Terms of Service

• LABA LIVE is provided during early access: features and pricing may change.
• You are responsible for what is said in your sessions and who receives session links.
• Translations, spoken captions, and AI vocabulary suggestions are automated and may contain errors.
• New Starter/Pro subscriptions use Stripe Checkout when billing is configured; switches between those paid plans may bill your saved card with proration after confirmation.
• Monthly Free, Starter, and Pro allowances are hard-capped: live capture may pause when the allowance is used. Event uses prepaid language-hour credit (top up from Billing when available).
• Do not use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Session links grant read access to captions for that session.

LABA LIVE provides tools for speakers to capture live speech, translate it into selected languages, share captions with attendees via web links, and optionally let attendees listen to translated captions (clear voice or device voice). Organizers may also import scripts or notes to suggest recognition vocabulary and translation glossary entries, including optional AI-assisted Smart extract. We may add, change, or remove features as we improve the product.

LABA LIVE is currently in early access. Dashboard usage figures are planning estimates unless we have agreed otherwise in writing or a charge has been processed through Stripe.

You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Account confirmation and password-reset emails are sent through our authentication provider.

When you use LABA LIVE, you agree to:

• Obtain any permissions needed to capture, translate, or play back speech and captions at your event.
• Share session links only with people you intend to include.
• Use the service in compliance with applicable laws.
• Not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the platform.
• Not upload or generate content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes others’ rights.
• Review AI-suggested vocabulary and glossary entries before relying on them in a live event.

Session links act as access keys. Anyone with a link can view that session’s live captions and stored transcript segments (kept for 14 days). You control who receives links: treat them accordingly.

Final caption text is stored in our database as a backup and for attendees who join late. Those transcript segments are kept for 14 days from when they are saved, then automatically deleted.

LABA LIVE uses automated speech recognition, machine translation, optional text-to-speech, and optional AI-assisted vocabulary and idiom suggestions (Smart extract). Results vary with audio quality, accents, terminology, language pair, device, and script content. Captions, spoken playback, and suggested glossary entries may be incomplete or incorrect. For some languages we apply lightweight post-processing (for example polishing Korean captions toward polite speech); that does not guarantee perfect register or accuracy. You should review suggested terms before saving or using them live. Do not rely on LABA LIVE as the sole source for safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions.

Pricing on our website and in the dashboard describes Free, Starter, Pro, and Event plans. When Stripe billing is configured for your currency:

• New Starter and Pro monthly subscriptions are paid through Stripe Checkout (card; additional local methods may be offered by Stripe for some currencies).
• If you already have an active Starter or Pro subscription, switching between those plans may update the Stripe subscription on your saved card after an in-app confirmation step, with proration according to Stripe’s billing rules (no separate Checkout page).
• Free plan switches can apply in the app without a subscription checkout. Leaving a paid plan for Free or Event may require canceling or changing the subscription first.
• Event is prepaid credit for one-off gatherings, drawn down per language-hour (rate shown on Pricing; clear voice included). When Event top-up is available for your currency, you pay through Stripe Checkout from Billing — the first successful top-up activates Event, and later top-ups add to your balance. Going live on Event may be blocked when the prepaid balance is empty. If top-up is not available for your currency, contact Support to arrange Event.
• Active subscriptions can be managed through the Stripe customer portal linked from Billing when available.

Free, Starter, and Pro hard-cap at included allowances: going live may be blocked when the allowance is exceeded until the period resets or you upgrade. There is no automated customer-facing overage charge on this launch. Some plan features, such as Smart script extract, include a monthly allowance shown in the product; when that allowance is used up, Basic extract remains available. Event estimates on Pricing are planning figures; charges occur when you complete a top-up (or other written commercial terms we confirm).

If billing is not configured in a given environment, plan switches may update entitlements in the app without collecting payment. Completing Stripe Checkout for a subscription authorizes recurring charges according to the plan you select. Completing an Event top-up Checkout authorizes a one-time payment that adds prepaid credit. Confirming an in-app Starter ↔ Pro subscription change authorizes the described prorated charge or credit on your saved payment method.

LABA LIVE, its branding, and the platform software are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to your event content. You grant us a limited license to process speech and text solely to provide the service.

LABA LIVE is provided "as is" and "as available" during early access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LABA LIVE and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid us.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if needed to protect the service or other users. You may stop using LABA LIVE at any time. Canceling a paid subscription follows the process available in Billing / Stripe portal and does not automatically delete stored session data unless you request deletion.

We may update these terms as the product matures. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
