Billing

Managing your plan

Upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or top up Event credit.

Where to change your plan

Open Billing in your dashboard, then Change plan. You can also pick a plan from the pricing page when signed in: each card links straight to the change-plan flow.

Free → Starter or Pro uses Stripe Checkout when billing is configured. Starter ↔ Pro with an active subscription updates on your saved card after a confirmation step (no separate Checkout page). Free can switch in-app. Event uses prepaid top-up from Billing (not a subscription checkout). Manage cards and invoices from Billing → Manage subscription (Stripe portal) when a portal link is available.

Upgrading

Moving from Free to Starter or Pro, or from Starter to Pro, gives you a larger monthly allowance and more translation languages per session. New paid subscriptions go through Stripe Checkout and take effect after payment succeeds. If you already have an active Starter or Pro subscription, upgrading Starter → Pro is confirmed in-app: your saved card is charged today for the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period, and the higher allowance applies immediately.

Downgrading and canceling

Downgrading to a lower monthly plan or back to Free reduces your allowance. Pro → Starter with an active subscription switches immediately after confirmation: Stripe credits unused time on your current plan toward the lower rate on the next invoice. To leave a paid plan for Free (or Event), cancel or change the subscription so renewal matches your intent — otherwise the paid plan may renew. Check usage on Billing first. Free, Starter, and Pro all hard-cap: if you've used the allowance, you can't start new live sessions until the period resets or you upgrade.

Starter ↔ Pro changes apply as soon as you confirm. Switching to Free or Event usually means canceling the paid subscription first — confirm timing in Change plan and the Stripe portal.

Event plans (prepaid credit)

Event is for one-off conferences and large gatherings with no monthly subscription. Pricing is $5/hr/language (₩7,000/hr/language), clear voice included. Estimate hours × languages on Pricing, then top up Event credit from Billing when available for your currency. The first successful top-up activates Event; later top-ups add to your balance. If top-up is not available for your currency, contact Support to arrange Event.

  • Event is prepaid credit drawn down per language-hour, not a monthly subscription.
  • Estimate cost on the pricing calculator before you top up.
  • Going live on Event requires a positive prepaid balance — top up again when the balance is empty.
  • You can return to a monthly plan anytime from Change plan once Event is no longer needed.

Plan limits in the app

  • Target languages: limited when you create a session based on your plan.
  • Monthly plans (Free, Starter, Pro): hard-cap; going live is blocked when the allowance is exceeded.
  • Event: going live is blocked when prepaid credit is empty — top up from Billing ($5/hr/language).
