Troubleshooting
Common fixes for mic, confidence, and attendee connection issues.
Speaker-side issues
- Microphone permission denied — reload the speaker page and allow mic access when prompted.
- Low confidence on the speaker monitor — check mic placement, reduce room noise, slow down slightly, and confirm the source language matches what is being spoken.
- Wrong language in captions — verify source language on the session and target languages configured.
Attendee connection issues
Attendees need a normal browser (Safari or Chrome on phones works). If someone sees “Connecting” for a long time on cellular, captions may still arrive via the backup sync path — ask them to wait a few seconds or refresh once.
- Prefer stable Wi‑Fi for the speaker laptop; guest networks sometimes block real-time connections.
- Share the QR code or link again if an attendee opened an old session URL.
- Language menu — each person picks their reading language once; they can change it from the controls on the feed.
Rehearse on the same network and devices you'll use live. Most field issues are audio or network setup, not account configuration.
